My name is Chanté Classen and I am thrilled to share a bit about my teaching journey and passions.
Beyond the classroom, the ‘me you can’t see’ is an adventurer at heart. Every holiday, I embark on a journey to a different country, seeking out both sunny, tropical islands and snowy, ski destinations. These travels enrich my life and bring a sense of adventure and global awareness that I love to share with my students, encouraging them to dream big and embrace the world around them. I look forward to teaching Creative Arts across Primary, inspiring the next generation of creative thinkers and lifelong learners
After completing my bachelor’s degree in English, Drama and Psychology, I studied further to complete my PGCE. Originally from the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa, I embarked on my first teaching job in Dubai five years ago. This vibrant city has since become my second home, and I have had the privilege of teaching Secondary English, FS1, and FS2 learners. I am now excited to transition into the realm of Creative Arts, where I can further inspire and nurture young minds.
Teaching is not just a profession for me; it’s a calling fuelled by my deep love for children and the immense joy I find in watching them grow and develop. Each day in the classroom is a new opportunity to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. I strive to create a warm and inclusive environment where every learner feels valued and encouraged to express themselves. What I bring to every class is a blend of enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine commitment to each student’s success. I believe in fostering a dynamic and engaging learning atmosphere where students can explore their interests and talents, especially in the arts.
