Welcome Note
Welcome to Safa British School, a diverse and friendly community. We aim to bring you, and your child, a memorable and enjoyable school experience which includes a safe environment, committed teachers, happy children, and success.
From the moment your child walks through our gates, we put them at the centre of all that we do. Our dedicated team work tirelessly to ensure that every child is immersed in purposeful and challenging experiences across the curriculum, which are suited to their individual needs. With a vast curriculum offering, including dance, sustainability, diversity, and engineering, all our children experience success. They are celebrated for their strengths, but also supported in stepping out of their comfort zone and rising to the challenge!
The children at SBS are kind, respectful and make us incredibly proud every day. We hope that every single one of them leave us with an instilled love of learning, and the mindset that they can be successful in anything that they choose to do.

Primary Overview
At SBS we follow the National Curriculum of England, and the primary school is broken into two key stages:
- Key Stage 1 (KS1): Year 1 (ages 5–6) and Year 2 (ages 6–7)
- Key Stage 2 (KS2): Years 3–6 (ages 7–11)
Our creative, child-led curriculum is designed around overarching concepts, which provide students with real-life contexts that integrate and connect curriculum areas. Alongside academic progress, we place a strong emphasis on developing the learning gears, encouraging children to be effective communicators, respectful collaborators, confident inquirers, resilient self-managers, and willing risk-takers. This approach nurtures curiosity and independence, supporting our vision of all students as lifelong learners.
As a school, we ensure a consistent and seamless progression as children transition across the different phases of the primary school.
