My name is Tracy McCormack and I am from Ireland’s second largest city, Cork. I am happy to say that I will be working as a Year 4 Teacher at Safa British School this coming year.
Having always had a huge interest in Education, I got my degree in Early Childhood Education from University College Cork in 2011. For the next four years, I worked as an Early Years teacher in both Ireland and Australia. In 2015, after returning to Ireland from Australia, I decided to further develop my career by studying a Masters Degree in Education with Hibernia College, Dublin.
Finally, the ‘Me You Can’t See’. Travel has always been a huge passion of mine and therefore, I feel very grateful to have the opportunity to live and work in the UAE. Apart from travel, I like to play basketball, and to cook new recipes for family and friends. Last but not least, I love nothing more than to read a good book.
After gaining three years of valuable experience, I decided to make the move to Dubai to explore new opportunities and to further develop my career. Dubai has been a home for me ever since, having worked here for four years as a Primary Teacher. Last year, I worked my first year in Safa British School and I must admit, I have every desire to continue working in this incredibly inspiring and supportive environment. As an educator, I always strive to provide students with every opportunity to develop a deep-rooted love of learning. I take pride in molding students into critical thinkers and problem solvers with strong ethical values and a deep understanding of the world they live in. Throughout my career, I have also placed a great emphasis on the importance of student well-being. I pride myself in being a positive role model for students, demonstrating self-confidence as well as compassion and care for others and a sense of responsibility for their environment.
