If we believe something will make a difference it will.

About Me

I moved to the UAE in 2015 after teaching in the UK for 8 years.

Having worked in Education since 2006 I believe that my child-centered and ever evolving practice is one of the key strengths that has allowed me to adapt the ever changing expectations within schools.

My personal philosophy ensures that children receive the best individualised teaching and learning experiences which inspires a lifelong appetite for learning and prepares children for all challenges of the world.

Throughout my leadership roles, it has been my privilege to inspire and guide inquisitive, confident and respectful learners, both students and teachers, implementing a coaching method with middle leaders and teachers in particular to support the development of their own skills.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, preferably outdoors with our dogs, horse riding or at the beach.

My Experience

I qualified as a teacher in 2007 from the University of Manchester with a 1st in Primary Education (PGCE).

The first 8 eyars of my career were spent teaching in Manchester in a primary school in the suburbs. Here I taught within KS2 and then KS1 whilst leading different areas of the curriculum before becoming KS1 Leader and undertaking a certificate in Leadership in Education.

In 2015 I moved to Manchester with my family to teach in a large through school in Dubai. Here I taught in KS1 and EYFS before being promoted to Phase Leader, focusing on Inclusion, teaching and learning, wellbeing and curriculum enhancement across 3 year groups.

In 2018 I moved to Safa British School and it has been a privilege to grow along with the school. The most important part of my role is to ensure that our students at SBS are not only immersed in a diverse and rich currriculum, but that they make lasting memories through enriched experiences and are prepared citizens, developing life skills, for an ever evolving world.
