My most rewarding teaching experience is where I created and produced a performing arts festival. I bought in musicians, circus performers, a silent disco, storytellers, graffiti artists, dancers and had every department running an outdoor activity that connected their subject. It was a celebration of inclusion and was incredible to witness the entire school community come together. Although I am no longer at the school, the festival still continues to this day.

About Me

I am thrilled to be a part of Safa British School’s secondary team and cannot wait to inspire and enhance SBS’s students’ imagination.

When the classroom curtain closes, you can find me hitting the stage – but for laughs! I’ve toured as a stand-up comedian across the UK. Beyond the theatre, I love playing netball, tennis, and paddle boarding. London has been my home for the past 8 years, and it’s fueled my passions for live experiences. I’m a Glastonbury devotee and a frequent theatregoer. Those experiences translate to my very own Theatre Review page – a platform where I share my love for the performing arts.

My Experience

My love for learning ignited on stage! From school productions to amateur groups, theatre has always been my passion. This led me to study Drama at College and later, Kingston University. There, I discovered a calling for fostering creativity in young minds. After graduating, I wore many hats – boarding house mistress, Drama teacher, and even a traveller honing my comedic skills in South America! My desire to empower future generations led me to earn my Teaching qualification in 2016. Since then, I’ve thrived in various educational settings, leading Performing Arts and Drama departments across state, private, and SEN sectors. My approach is holistic, inspired by Ken Robinson’s belief in unlocking every student’s potential. While Drama is my specialty, I’ve also brought the joy of Dance, Music, and English to my classrooms.
