About Me

In my free time I love reading, walking, and discovering new coffee shops around Dubai. I play netball for a social team, but my real sporting passion is skiing, something I’ve been doing since I was young. I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel to many countries around the world and Dubai has been a great springboard for travelling and discovering new places. I can’t wait to continue this over the next few years!

My Experience

I studied French and Translation Studies at Aston University, spending one year living in France as part of the course. Following a year of travelling and working as a Primary PPA French and Spanish teacher after graduating, I decided to pursue a career in teaching. I completed my PGCE at the University of Bristol in 2015 and began working as a French teacher in Telford. I progressed to Head of Modern Foreign Languages after three years and found the role extremely rewarding. I loved the challenge of growing and developing the MFL department alongside my team. Following lockdown, I decided to embrace the opportunity to move to Dubai, where I have now been teaching for two years.
