A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination and instill a love of learning.
Hello, my name is Emily Schofield and I am from Holmfirth which is a small town in Yorkshire in England.
Children deserve to receive a high and consistent level of teaching for learning and this is what I bring to my pupils. I am a creative teacher who has a passion for teaching. As a teacher I enable children to achieve their full potential and support them throughout their learning journey. I aim to inspire children and create a safe environment where they can explore, gain confidence and be creative.
Finally, during my spare time and on the weekends I enjoy going to the beach, cooking and going to the gym. I love living in Dubai for the warmer weather, as it always rains in the UK! I enjoy travelling and visiting new places to experience the culture and the different foods countries have to offer.
After completing my GCSE’s and A-levels I went on to study at Manchester Metropolitan University in England, where I achieved a BA (hons) degree in Primary Education. I previously taught in the UK for 2 years, in a local Primary School in West Yorkshire. I completed my gold Duke of Edinburgh Award which provided me with the opportunity to regularly volunteer in schools supporting children in class, after school clubs and take children on residential trips.
I have predominantly been in Key Stage 1 throughout my teaching career. I have enjoyed teaching in Year 1 for many years but I am looking forward to a new challenge in Year 3.
