One of my favourite things in teaching is seeing the penny drop, when you see a pupil who has been struggling “get” the concept you are trying to explain, it is one of the most satisfying parts of teaching!

About Me

Having discovered a love of languages at school I went on to study French at the University of Bristol spending my Year Abroad in La Reunion and Paris. After graduating in 2011 I moved straight to Dubai where I started teaching at Repton Dubai and became involved in various aspects of the school including being Head of Girls’ boarding and Head of Year 10, as well as running the Latin Club and Scottish Dancing Society.

Languages and travel are great passions of mine and Dubai is a great place to be to explore more of the world, I have backpacked through South and Central America, worked in Kolkata and travelled in Asia and Africa. One of my favourite things is to do in Dubai is go to Musandam and explore the fjords up there. I also love walking, reading and cooking and try to spend my free time trying new recipes.

My Experience

I left Dubai in 2019 to become Deputy Head of House at Charterhouse, a boarding school in Surrey, and help with the school’s transition into being fully Co-ed. During my time at Charterhouse, I have taught French and Spanish, been Deputy DSL and lived in house for 4 years.
