I want to say the moment I managed to win a Free Throw Competition with my Year 10 students! This is a huge achievement for someone who is only 5ft! However, the magical moments I have shared with my form have to be my favourite. I have enjoyed leading them pastorally and building relationships with them. I have watched them grow, cry, and laugh. I have had the pleasure of sharing many milestones with them. We have been known as the form group that throws the best National Day and International Day parties because of the food we all contribute and the laughter and love that fills the room.

About Me

Before I decided to teach, I managed a charity which provided Youth, Community and Family services in the North East of England. Whilst I was managing the charity, I made the decision to join a book club. This reignited my love for literature and study. I made the decision to go back to college and then to university. I graduated in 2019 with a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing. Combining my love of Literature with my passion for helping young people, I started my journey to become a teacher. I completed a SCITT with PGCE in 2021 and made the move to the UAE shortly after. I have been teaching across all Key Stages at a school in Dubai, including A Level, which has been amazing!

My Experience

I moved to Dubai with my husband, Tom and daughter, Harriet. We have enjoyed every moment here in Dubai, in particular the weather! Our favourite activities include going to the beach and visiting the desert, anywhere with sand makes us happy! I also enjoy paddle boarding and playing badminton.
