I am an Inclusion teacher and a Dyslexia Specialist, supporting Safa children struggling in Reading, Writing and Spelling.

About Me

Children referred to me, are screened for dyslexia and assessed using a variety of assessments. Using a multisensory program, a personalised Scheme Of Work is prepared for every individual pupil that supports their learning style and targets their learning gaps. The Scheme Of Work supports not just the academics but also the social, emotional wellbeing of the pupil; students are taught exam skills and organisational skills to be implemented in school and at home. Application of resources such as Assistive Technology encourages independence and hence raises their self-esteem and promotes success.

My Experience

Qualification: BSc in Computer Science from Kensington University | PGCE from Sunderland University Dyslexia from British Dyslexia Association

I have worked with young children for past 20 years. I have supervised summer camps, supporting children with athletics, sports and ice skating. I have previously, worked at Dubai English Speaking School and taught Year 1 and Year 2 children. I joined Safa in 2006 and enjoyed teaching Years 1-5. In 2017, I joined the Inclusion department and have supported primary and secondary children struggling with English skills. Safa holds a special place in my heart and I have enjoyed teaching every child in this school.
