It is difficult to pinpoint a single ‘best moment’ in teaching but the highlight of teaching for me is watching students grow to become confident, critical and challenge the world around them.

About Me

I graduated from the University of Stirling with a degree in English Literature, History and Secondary Education. It was there I fell in love with teaching and have been teaching across the city of Glasgow and Dubai for six years. My passion is to make learning accessible and enjoyable for all and to use innovative methods in the classroom. I am known for fostering a culture of nurture and resilience in the classroom and strive to ensure every single lesson is rigorous, challenging but most importantly – fun! I have been living in Dubai for two years and I have enjoyed my role as Head of Year 7, particularly focusing on the transition between primary and secondary school.

My Experience

Literature has always been at the forefront of my interests, and I love to receive book recommendations from anyone who offers them! I also love to ski and play the drums. Further to this, I love to travel and am very grateful for the opportunities that I have been presented with by living in Dubai.
