My name is Niamh O’Donoghue. I am an Irish-trained primary school teacher in my 8th year of teaching.
In my free time I enjoy keeping fit in the gym and playing tennis and camogie (an Irish sport). I am really looking forward to my first year at Safa British School where I hope to create memories for many years ahead.
I have been teaching in the UAE since 2017. Previous to this,I completed a degree in Ireland followed by a Masters of Education. I have a passion for teaching and enjoy working in a variety of different environments.
For the last two years I have worked as a Year 6 Class Teacher, having previously worked as a Year 3, 4 and 5 class teachers both in Ireland and Dubai. These experiences have allowed me to grow and develop as a confident and competent teacher, who focuses on creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
I am a very outgoing, bubbly teacher and I enjoy creating a fun, happy, engaging, active classroom. My classrooms are always a place where children build a mutual respect for one another and are safe throughout their learning.
