I am passionate about making school an exciting place where my students want to come and learn each day.
I moved to Dubai four years ago working as a class teacher in Year Two where I was able to continue to develop my passion for working with young children. I have worked at Safa for two years now and last year took on the exciting role as Head of Year One.
As well as teaching, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. During my time in Dubai I have been able to continue my love for travelling and have visited lots of wonderful places. In my spare time I also enjoy reading and making the most of the beautiful weather!
I completed my Primary Education degree at Northumbria University, specialising in Early Years. This is where I first developed an interest working with young children with English as an additional language, as I wrote my dissertation around this topic which was very insightful. I then went on to work in an inner city primary school in Leeds in the North of England working as a Year Two class teacher. During this time I enjoyed working with underprivileged children in a deprived area, helping them to develop their social and emotional skills as well as academics.
