My name is Samuel McNally, and I am originally from Manchester, England. I moved to Dubai in 2016, and I am really excited for the next chapter of my career at Safa British School.

About Me

I am 34 years old and an avid supporter of Manchester City. I love the outdoors and enjoy exploring new countries and cities, embarking on hiking trips, and learning about different cultures. My interests also include travel writing, fitness, and capturing moments through photography and videography.

In my professional and personal life, I embrace values such as humility, respect for others, and a positive outlook. I believe in the power of education to transform lives, and I am dedicated to nurturing and challenging each student to achieve their best. I am excited about the opportunities ahead at Safa British School and look forward to contributing positively to the school community.

My Experience

Having completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Education Primary English Education at Edge Hill University in 2014, I have had the privilege of working in diverse educational settings within England and in Dubai. Prior to this, I completed my BA in Geography at the University of Manchester.

I am committed to high standards in education, fostering a love for reading and literacy among students, and promoting student well-being and mental health. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment. As a professional middle leader, I have led the English curriculum and supported my colleagues’ professional growth, contributing significantly to whole-school curriculum development. I am currently involvedin a five- year ‘Reading for Pleasure’ project with the Emirates Literature Foundation, which aims to cultivate a love for reading among students, teachers, and parents.

My teaching philosophy is centered on the belief that education should provide children with equalaccess to the curriculum, encourage them to work to the best of their ability, and enable them toreach their full potential. I have actively sought new challenges and experiences to explore how children learn, and I am committed to continuous improvement in my teaching practices.
