There have been so many, but I would have to say my first Year 11 class in England getting their GCSE results on Results Day. They were all so happy and proud of their hard work!

About Me

Aside from a love of English, I love spending time with family and friends. I really miss my family while I am living abroad, but it makes trips home even more special. Living in Doha, I was lucky enough to travel to lots of places around the world; my favourites being Philippines and Tanzania. I also love team sports, whether that’s football, netball or dragon boating!

My Experience

Having loved studying English over the years, I knew I wanted to share this enjoyment with other people. Studying at Canterbury Christ Church University allowed me to explore the subject further and led me to the idea of teaching as a way of carrying on my exploration of the subject. I did my PGCE at University of Sussex and taught in schools in the UK for four years. When COVID happened, I decided I needed more of an adventure and moved to Qatar, where I taught for four years. I really look forward to sharing my passion for English with students in Dubai.
