To witness a student, engage and use all the strategies we had explored and actively use them to cope with challenges are some of my best moments. Witnessing them focus on their strengths and learning to believe in themselves reinforces my passion for all that I do.

About Me

I knew I wanted to get into Psychology at 14, having watched my mum work as a special educator. Through my training I had shifted from an intention focused on inclusive education to the socio emotional element of Psychology. Since then, there has been no looking back.

My Experience

I have been a practicing professional Mental Health Counsellor for the last 9 years. In this time, I have worked with schools and clinics in my home country (India). I opened my own wellbeing centre in 2016, which I handed over when I moved to Dubai in 2020. Through my practice I have worked with people from different age groups, social strata and variety of challenges. My specialization is focused on the Neurodiverse community and Mood disorders. I am advocate for ethical, accessible and culturally sensitive practices.

I started with SBS in 2022 as the school counsellor. This community has given me an opportunity to share learning of healthy coping and management skills that support development of resilience. Creating accessibility to these strategies enhances students’ ability to cope with challenges they face through life.
